"TMI" was organized to design, develop and manufacture simple, innovative and technically advanced drilling tools to meet the challenges of deep-water and extended reach wells drilling.

Adel Sheshtawy, the founder of TMI combined his practical experience as a Drilling Engineer/Manager with Phillips, Sonatrach, Mobil and Amoco and his analytical capabilities as a professor of petroleum engineering and the director of
the drilling research lab at the University of Oklahoma, U.S.A. to design the most effective drilling tools needed by the drilling industry.

TMI manufactures its tools in modern facilities in Houston, Texas, using CNC equipment and proprietor computer design and simulation programs.
